Together We Rise: A Tribute to Our Journey & Community Power

Since the beginning of the year, LiveGreat Foundation has witnessed something incredible: people rising for cleanups. Rising for change. Rising for each other.

On February 22nd, magic happened.

A united community came together — unblocking clogged drainage lines, redirecting floodwaters using creative gabions made from stones and waste materials. It wasn’t just a cleanup; it was a declaration of unity, love, and ownership.

A mother stood and watched with joy. She smiled and said, “Hawa ni vijana wetu” — “These are our children.” She was proud. Proud of their courage, their creativity, their care. That’s the power of community.

And that has been the spirit of LiveGreat Foundation throughout the year — collaboration, resilience, and transformation.

We’ve walked together in many ways:

We’ve held impactful cleanups that not only made spaces cleaner but safer and healthier.

We’ve educated children on climate change, waste management, and leadership — preparing a generation to build a greener future.

We’ve innovated, turning plastic waste into usable products and opening up income-generating ideas for youth.

And we’ve strengthened our strategies, partnerships, and commitment to the people of Kibera.

Each initiative, each collaboration, and each small action has been a step toward a bigger dream — a Cleaner Kijiji and a community that thrives.
